Luis Martins, Ph.D., Georgia Institute of Technology
Luis Martins is an associate professor of management at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on how the interplay of external stakeholder pressures and top managers' perceptions of strategic issues affects organizations' change/innovation and competitiveness. He is currently studying these issues in the context of new information technologies facing organizations. He also conducts research on the cognitive aspects of diversity in organizations. His research has appeared in several top journals in management, and has been covered by the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, and other newspapers. He teaches extensively in the executive programs at Georgia Tech, and has received several teaching awards from all three universities in which he has taught. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Math from Bhopal University in India, and his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
